    Anti-Heeling System

    Heeling refers to the tilting of the ship. It is primarily caused by uneven cargo load, sharp turns and high-intensity winds or waves. The Anti-heeling System is designed to check the inclination of the ship and automatically compensates the heel. The heeling compensation is achieved by continual measurement of the heeling angle, resulting in a transfer of water transverse from one heeling tank to another.

    The most efficient way of rebalancing the ship is to pump ballast water from the starboard to the port or vice versa. Here are several conditions for an Anti-heeling System:

    • At least one inclination sensor mounted to detect the heeling angle
    • The ship must have at least two tanks that can be used by the AHS with the possibility of receiving Level and/or Low/High Level Alarm signals
    • The system must have the permission of controlling the corresponding valves and transfer pumps
    • The system needs to receive feedback signals from all the valves located on the water transfer routes between heeling tanks
    • The system needs to receive feedback signals from the transfer pump

    The Anti-heeling System can work in conjunction with the Stability Control System and the Valve Remote Control System for Bilge and Ballast valve control. The integrated system can be monitored and parameterized from a TFT touch panel.

    Cargo Monitoring System

    The Cargo Monitoring System is used to control and monitor the level, pressure and temperature of the cargo. The system uses reliable radar sensors and radar level gauges during operation.

    Water Ingress Alarm System

    DMH provides solutions with proper compliance with the rules and regulations - Mandatory SOLAS XII/12 requires implementation of installation, the Water Ingress Alarm System on bulk carriers. It is designed to detect the presence of water or bilge in cargo holds or empty spaces. It consists of water-level sensors and alarming indication equipment. Sensors are installed in respective areas. They come in direct contact with water. When the water reaches pre-alarm and main alarm level, the control panel sends out corresponding visual and audible alarming signals to indicate the position of alarmed cabin that is of water ingress. At the same time, the control panel transmits alarming signals to the Voyage Data Recorder.

    An overriding function is provided for cargo holds and other spaces that are intended for the ballast tank. The system continually monitors the entire set of equipment and triggers audible & visual alarms when detecting failures in the system. Audio alarms can be stopped but the alarm indication lamp remains lighted till the failure is obviated.

    Gas Detection System

    The Gas Detection System is used to monitor the concentration of combustible gases in ambient air - the explosion limit ranges from 0% to 100%. The system consists of gas detectors and an alarm cabinet. The sensor technology is known as the catalyst combustion type. The catalytic probe can be replaced in the field. It has acute reactions for a wide variety of combustible gases. The technology can be used for specific gas detection and monitoring. This system is crucial as it is an effective way to prevent poisoning, explosion and fire, thus, ensuring the safety of lives and properties.

    The gas detector is part of the State Quality Supervision and Inspection Centre (CQST) test, explosion-proof performance. In accordance with the GB3836.1-2000 and GB3836.4-2000 standard, explosion-proof mark for Ex ibⅡB T4 and ExdⅡCT6, the product must be composed of safe explosion-proof barrier for it to be used in places containing explosive gases - below the rank of ⅡA.

    Active Roll Damping System

    The Active Roll Damping System is a roll damping system equipped with a monitoring and control system on the basis of a passive U-tube type anti-roll tank to assist ship crews in operating the ship stabilizer safely with maximum efficiency.

    By constantly measuring the dynamic tank liquid level and the roll period of the ship, the system automatically adjusts the tank water oscillating period by restricting the air flow and/or water flow in between the interconnected tanks to achieve the required phase lag of approximately 90 degrees It also optimizes the anti-rolling performance.

    There are many advantages when using this system. Firstly, it overcomes the shortcomings of fixed natural response period of conventional anti-roll U-tank. Also, it expands the response range of the anti-roll system and minimizes the possible over-roll. Meanwhile, it inherits the positive qualities of passive anti-roll tanks - lower power consumption as the anti-rolling power is from the ship rolling itself. Moreover, the system is equipped with automatic safety procedures to enhance the safety of the ship in case of malfunctions of components or extreme sea/ship conditions which are out of the system design working range.

    Quick Closing Valve System

    The Quick Closing Valve System includes rope movement quick closing valve, air-actuated quick closing valve and hydraulic quick closing valve. They are used for marine Fresh Water, Fuel Oil and Lube Oil.

    The valve can be closed and opened normally or used in emergency. In case of emergency, emergency actions can be made by both the manual methods and the remote control method to close the valve immediately.

    The Quick Closing Valve Control Box is a remote control plant suitable for fuel oil tank, lube oil tank and daily supplying fuel oil tank of ships. Its purpose is to shut off oil circuits and prevent any fire from spreading.

    The air source input from the ship to the air receiver ?powered quick closing valve control box. The air pressure in the receiver can be adjusted through the pressure controller. The air in the receiver is divided into several channels by a distributor. In case of emergency, the plug will be opened quickly - the air powered quick closing valves positioned on the oil transferring pipe will be closed by air.

    Tank Gauging System

    The Tank Gauging System, also known as the Pneumatic Bubbling System, is used to measure the water level of tank such as the ballast tank, fresh water tank and HFO tank. It is based on the principle of “Bubbling? which is well known for its sturdiness and reliability.

    The tank hydrostatic pressure is measured by injecting air through a bubbling probe. The output pneumatic signal of the air modulator is fed into a P/I converter built-in the tank gauging bubbling cabinet and the pneumatic signal from the air modulator is changed to electric signal 4-20mA in a 2-wire by the P/I converter.

    This system uses an electro pressure transmitter to monitor all tanks onboard the vessel. The basic principle is continuous measuring of the hydrostatic pressure inside the tank. As each transmitter is specially calibrated, the feedback signal of 4-20mA from the transmitter will be proportional to the tank level. A microprocessor that collects signal from the transmitter, process the signal as such, specific gravity, volume, trims & list correction. The presentation of such tank level is the use of full computer graphically display or panel meter.

    In addition, all process data can be transmitted to Alarm Monitoring System and Loading Computer by means of modbus RTU & TCP (Optional).
